Audi/Volkswagen Apple CarPlay

Remove the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Failure Warning out on your BWM F/G Series car. TPMS error usually occurs if you change your alloys that do not have tyre pressure sensors installed. Many people don’t bother installing the sensors as they can cost $150+ each. The error can also occur if your sensors stop working.

What is this?
After installing a new battery, the service function ‘Register battery replacement’ must be run. The registration of the battery replacement is required to inform the power management (software in engine electronics and intelligent battery sensor) that a new battery was installed in the vehicle. If the battery replacement is not registered, the power management will not function properly and can lead to functions being limited by individual electrical consumers being switched off or having their power consumption reduced. Power management will charge the new battery as if it’s the old worn out battery, causing premature failure of the replacement battery.

Important:
If the new battery is not registered, incorrect readings may appear in the display of the onboard computer due to old data in the power management system (check control message ”Recharge battery” appears even though the battery is new).

Your iDrive will be updated to the latest software to enable the themes, functions and features of iDrive 6. All your current features and functions will stay the same but you may have to reset some settings.

In 2018 BMW update their NBTevo system with a different layout and style called “iDrive 6”. The NBTevo systems made in 2016/17 have iDrive 5 running on them but they can be upgraded to look like the newer iDrive 6.

This is just a theme change as the features/functions in iDrive 5 and 6 are the same. All your current features, functions, settings, etc will stay the same and you will not lose anything. Think of this like changing the wallpaper on your phone, the same thing applies here. The screen will look different but function the same.
